This blog is for me. It’s for you as well, but it’s more for me. Majority Marginalized is a way to hold myself accountable to all the resolutions I made this year. An added bonus would be if it were to become popular enough to attract readers who are looking for more diverse reads.
Ah, that word. I keep hearing it (you probably keep hearing it too). Well, I kept telling myself that I’d focus on mostly diverse (Get it? Majority Marginalized) reads, but it never happened–at least, not as much as I’d promised myself. I did start mixing up my reading habits more last year, but I was still disappointed with my narrow spectrum when I took stock of everything I consumed in 2016. Especially, after taking stock of the state of the world.
We need more inclusivity all around, and it’s time I start practicing what I preach. First, I’ll start with me, then I’ll start converting you. Welcome.
